Letting go
Ok...
I got nothing...
All I know is that it's hard (like giving up drug addiction) it hurts and it's always for the better.
No one deserves to be obsessed or an obsession. We just need to be free and Happy without a trouble in the world...
Screw religion, division by zero, astrophysics and Pink Floyd at the end of the day it all boils down to - everyday is a new day and you can only makes it count once. No point in waiting right?

Osama Bin Laden
Was he really killed by the American embassy? Or was he paid off?
Has he always been against America or is this a publicity stunt?
My word - The rumors and theories floating around are interesting...
Personally I believe he is now happily living on some private island. Possibly with Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Elvis... (Isn't that where all the famous people go when the fake their deaths?)
It must have been really tricky living in a fortress worrying about when Americans will finally track you down and kill you - I'd be easier to make a deal and disappear forever, But then again - Would good old Obama let that happen?
Next thing every one's thinking is: "America's secretly plotting against the world!? Oh gosh - WW3!!"
(Replace gosh in that sentence with another expressive word of choice to personalize your anguish if you wish - I'd go with the f word.... NO! Not that one! I meant fiddle sticks!....)
Besides war is far too expensive and quite frankly a lot of countries are in-debt as it stands (Especially America with it's fingers in the oil resource pie)
War happens when 3 things are at stake
1.) Disposable income
2.) Lack of valuable resources
3.) Some idiot decides they want to rule the world (I.e The all powerful Hitler)

Back to the theories of Bin Ladens' killing.... There are so many...
They include the following:
- "Bush had the body frozen for Obama to use b/c they are both part of the NEW WORLD ORDER"
- "Bin Laden was killed by one of his guards and not by the Seals when the assault party landed. He had one bullet hole on the head and one on the chest . The scene of the assault shown in the media looked more like a murder scene and not a battle field The Seals just stole the credit."
- "Osama Bin Laden has never existed. I have reason to think that because there are no proofs of his arresting by CIA agents, and even a REAL foto about his death. So it can presumably theorized the fact that he never existed. Today inventing an identity is very easy."
Rap News has all the greatest ;)
- "My thoughts are that they actually did raid the compound, and Bin Laden was there, but he was captured and taken by the Seals to a remote location (like Gitmo) where they can use "enhanced interrogation techniques" on him to gain intel on Al Quaida..."
- "Well I reckon that OBL is now happily living in West Point, on the Hudson River about 50 miles north of New York. Now he's thinking about what on earth to do with this $25 million he's got sitting in his American Express Bank Account."
And my personal favorite:
- "Bin Laden is actually a rabbit and he was invited to Obamas Tea Party..."
The theories are brilliant - creative and original... Go google for more... and why stick to Obama - there are plenty obnoxious theorists writing about many different people - try Amy Winehouse, General Gaddafi, Hitler etc etc (Basically any dead famous/infamous person)
Now for some dear-blank please-blank on Osama
Dear Gaddafi,
Don't press the "Get Current Location" on your iPhone. Been there, done that.
Sincerely, Osama Bin Laden.
___________________________________________________
Dear girl sitting next to me in history class,
No, Obama and Osama are NOT the same person.
Sincerely, just shoot me now.

Dear Osama,
Should've worn stripes...
Sincerely, Waldo.
Inevitably it's no fun to be hunted down by America....
But I must say - It's pretty cool to be on the 10 most infamous criminals list according to the Forbes "10 most wanted" list...
Oh politics, hypocrites and theorists - you are very entertaining...
And that's Me for this week (Gotta go study AD Maths and Biology for Thursday) :O
Catch you on the fun side...

Bieber FEAVER!
Bieber's first full studio release, My World, was released on March 23, 2010 and has since received similar success; it debuted at number one and within the top ten of several countries, and was certified platinum in the United States. It was preceded by the worldwide top-ten single, "Baby", in January 2010. The music video of "Baby" is currently ranked as the most viewed and most discussed YouTube video, and was the most disliked until being overtaken by Rebecca Black's song "Friday".Bieber followed-up the release of his debut album with his first headlining tour, the My World Tour, the remix albums My Worlds Acoustic and Never Say Never – The Remixes, and the 3D biopic-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never – which had an opening weekend gross that nearly matched the record for the biggest opening weekend for a concert-film.
Bieber has been nominated and award
numerous accolades over the past few years, winning Artist of the Year at the2010 American Music Awards, and being nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards, among others. Bieber is considered a teen idol, and has been subject to acclaim from fans, as well as criticism and controversy from matters concerning his popularity and image.
Don't know who Bieber is? Well u must be living under a rock :D

Music is not a label
I listen to Metal. I work with Metal playing in the background too... I think it requires a great amount of skill and talent to play the guitar like some of my favorite metals artists do, in fact - I'm in awe of a few of them and they are my inspiration to learning to play guitar.
On the same note I am not a serial killer, depressed or a goth. I don't even wear eyeliner on a regular basis. However when I tell people I listen to Avenged Sevenfold they look at me with concern. Sure - there are extremists but most of those scary artists (Like slipknot) are actors too - behind the art of their music they live pretty decent lives and are civilized people.
People tell me I listen to terrible noise that you can't even call music... If these people listened to decent music (Like Frank Sinatra, Billy Idol or the Beatles) I wouldn't be insulted, but then again anyone who listens to real music and is passionate about their music would understand anthers passion.
Instead these are people who are claiming the latest Pop to be the only respectable modern music. Sure - for a period in my life I listened exclusively to the catchy dance and pop music - Some of it - Like Avril Lavigne and The The have a lot of really good songs (That i still have on my favorites playlist) but others (in my opinion) are a load of repetitive lyrics with no particular reason.
You may argue that dustup is nothing but random sound, as I argue pop is nothing but repetitive lyrics but again, Dubstep is an art as well. It requires a certain 'taste', but it has a lot of energy - If we compare Skrillex to Nicky Minaj, I'd want to side with Dubstep for it's obvious originality.
Pop has very little development in general - at least what I call the 'cheap pop' (music with no originality, no thought to the actual music and some person singing repetitive lyrics) It's the type of music that gets played so often you get over it after the first couple of weeks of its release.
Music is something very subjective, in all honestly I listen to a vast variety of genres including house, jazz and Rock - Some of my very favorite include GoodLuck, Green day, Likin Park, Louis Armstrong, Goldfish and Simple plan (as well as the already mentioned Avenged Sevenfold) and many more.
Before you label someone because of the music they listen to - go do some research. Not only does it make good conversation and a great general knowledge basis, it's great fun.

SlipKnot - They scare me too - admit they're awesome though... |

Cell phones - means to not end?
"What is the most important living organism on Earth?" I was once asked....
I answered - "Well, I suppose everything leans on the existence of everything else so nothing can really be 'the most important'..."
I got a laugh out of that, and was told I think to literally (what ever that means)
I was then asked "What is the most important insect on Earth?"
At this stage I wanted to answer - 42 (Which if you've read the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy you would know is the answer to life the universe and everything) but instead I answered:
"Ants - they clean everything up and make up most of the insect population.." again another chuckle
"Ants are mindless greedy buggers that collect food to feed the queen, they are far from the most important, dispute their importance..." there was a dramatic pause, the gaze shifted out the window
"The correct answer would be Bees..."
"Bees? But they're also self absorbed bastards only interested in following the queens orders" I said...
"Ah yes - but now, now you're not thinking literally enough..."
Puzzled I asked "Well why then?"
"Bees... pollinate plants and without pollination they cannot reproduce and without plants - all living organisms will perish..."
It's true - such small insects have such a massive impact on society - on the way we live... I was shocked to read an article on how cell phone frequency interferes with bees making them disorientated.
Nearly everyone has a cell phone (if not two) and everyone generally has more than three cell phones in a life time.
It's terribly scary to imagen Bees becoming extinct...
To me it seems Cell-phones are a nuisance, they've been proven to have harmful effects on the human body and the environment on numerous levels, but is that because they are targeted in terms of research? If so what technology that we use that isn't targeted for research has similar or worse effects? Microwaves? Wi-Fi?
How much don't we know and how much will we discover? Development is great, I love technology - but it seems to be going in the wrong direction. We need to combine green design and efficiency into all our technology.
Heck - maybe one-day we'll all phone each other using Wi-Fi ...

What to do on long drives?
Recently I've just come back from holiday... It was great, there's another one in a weeks time - I sure can't wait.
The only problem is that there is nothing to do on the 4 hour drive from home to my holiday house near the sea (It's madness I live on the Coast and travel 4 hours to visit another coast for the holiday)
So I decided to occupy my time wisely and now that I am the guru of wise time spending I shall offer some ideas so that next time you go on a long drive or are just bored - you'll have something to do...
1. iPod owners
Buy a CD or download a whole batch of music from genres you don't often listen to (For me it was Rap and Metal) make sure it's enough to get you a good half of your trip... (Sometimes iPods don't last that long in terms of battery - that would have to be a very long trip thou...)
(I know it's illegal but it's a good way to download music for previews sake)
Download your music here!
Alternatively if you own a portable screen (I.e: iPad, iPod touch, laptop etc) follow the following links to download a number of interesting and funny YouTube videos
-South African (ZA NEWS)
-TED talks (Ideas worth sharing)
- = 3 (Ray William Johnson)
- Julian Smith (I made this for you)
2. Get creative!
How about starting a new project? weaving and stitching is easily done on the plane or in the car. Design and make yourself a new something. (I made a guitar strap - was pretty epic) Even better use recycled materials - it's eco-friendly and fun!
3. Think up a story
I love doing this - take your 3 best friends or a few people in your life and make up a story, it can be fantasy, action or anything you desire, then try writing it down... You never know... That's how the major Vampire series 'Twilight' was created (Don't read it! Read the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy - much better!)
4. Read a book
If you get car sick - don't try but it makes good reading time...
5. Stare out the window
Have a look at where you're going - believe it or not the world is a beautiful place!
6. Videos and Photographs
Take footage of the surrounds - the blurred effect can come in handy
7. If you're desperate
Count as many prime numbers as you can without stopping...
2,3,5,7,9,11,13,17,19....
Hope it comes in handy ;)
Sorry about the belated post (I'm working on something big for the blog... Coming soon!)

We do NOT ride lions to school!
People of the World, just like every country in the world, or just like most countries in the world, even China and Brazil, it has its POOR part and its RICH part. Now, we live in SOUTHERN Africa. If you are awear of the world's economy, you would know that South Africa, is in fact a Developed Country.
Now you may ask, all of those pictures you see on TV or on the computer of starved childrem, deserts, poor setlements, wild animals, etc. are not what is happening all around Africa. so u may thin then, are they all fake? The answer is NO, they are not fake. We do have children around Africa starving unfoetunatley, we do have deserts but then again alot of different Continents do to and they're developed! e.g. Australia. We so have SOME poor settlements and we do indeed have Wild Animals.
But as there is all of that, we also have verry full children :P, GRASS, rich/wealthy settlements and cars, we do not need to ride animals to school. We do have propper education, have malls, golf courses, rides, waterparks, we have it ALL!
Here are some pictures that will show you parts of South Africa:

The singularity
Can you imagine a world without social networking?
A world without the internet?
A world without Cell phones?
A world without computers or laptops?
Without iPods or PSPs?
Without computer games or digital games?
Without colour television?
Without projectors and electronics?
Airports would be in chaos as all the tickets were hand written and messages would take forever to reach people via snail mail. Image a world without airplanes? Everything would be even slower. Now you'd have to wait 3 weeks for a boat to travel around the tip of Africa to deliver your message and the wait a further 3 weeks for a reply (that is of course if the sender responds quickly)
It would be dismal! However that's not even near to where we're going... In the last 30 years we've been able to witness and rapid transformation and evolution in technology - from the first cell phone (that weighted a ton) to the new iPhone 5 (that's so awesome - it's invisible)
The thing is - were does technology stop evolving if it's upgrading almost daily?
Think about it - our parents saw the beginning of the technological age (many a time I've been told stories of ineffective type writers and manual letter writing) we as the purple people of today are about to witness the biggest change in the technological world - we are about to witness the singularity.
The singularity is the point when machines and technology surpass human intellect or combine with humans to create cyborgs... Either way seeing the end of the human race.
Right now you're thinking "Oh please! that'll never happen!" But wasn't walking on the moon once a fictional story? The scary thing is - we have the facts to support this theory. It is estimated that by 2023 computers will surpass the intelligence of a lab rate and by 2040 the intelligence of a human.
technology is evolving and it's evolving fast. Already great break throughs are happening and the pinnacle of artificial intelligence is near.
The only problem with technology surpassing human intelligence is that we will become somewhat redundant - in every conceivable way. Super computers will be able to update and advance themselves and well - basically take over the world. Sound dramatic? Well in a sense it is - and it's that real. We have no idea what will happen (for good or for worse) if we release a new species onto the planet. Will the new technological being care for the environment or will their mind set be that of the human greed?
If we humans introduce a superior species will we not in essence, die off? After all it is survival of the fittest and so far humans are the fittest due to our cognitive and logical thinking. Now if there is something that can think faster, work harder and doing everything better (without having to take breaks to play Farmville) do you not think that when resources become scares we'll be the first to go?
The question is - do we create the technology for all it's benefits? or do we stay clear of it and prod in another area? I fully believe that interesting times are to follow - before you know it a terabyte hard-drive will look as pathetic as a 5 megabyte hard-drive next to an 8 GB flash drive (about 30 times smaller in size)
